From April the 26th, Selwyn will be the priest-in-charge at St Mark's N4. Selwyn is married to Nicola and they have two children.

 

Selwyn was born and grew up in Guyana. He spent his formative years there, which deeply shaped his values. He loves community, hospitality, worship, generosity, and service. At sixteen years old, he moved to the UK and it was here that Jesus saved him, filled him with the Holy Spirit, and called him to serve him by being a pastor and priest in his church.

 

Seventeen years later, after time spent studying theology, working as a primary school teacher and training to be a priest in the Church of England, Selwyn is stepping into his first incumbency at St Mark's and is looking forward to leading and being a part of the church community. One of Selwyn's prayers for us (as a church community at St Mark's) is that God would continue to shape us into a community that loves, follows and serves Jesus, and that God would transform and use us as His agents of transformation in our local community (Tollington) and beyond. 

 

When Selwyn isn't fulfilling his priestly or pastoral duties, he loves spending time with his family and friends, going for runs, reading books and eating delicious food.
