what is christianity?

We are a Church of England Church, which means that we are a part of a wider network of Churches who share the same faith. Here's a video the Church of England created answering the question, 'Who is God?'.

who is god?

What do we believe?

Christianity is a way of life. It's a belief in God; our Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

John 3:16 says this, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life".

The Good News and at the heart of the Christian faith is that God loves us. God created all people, in His image, because of His love. However, as humans, we turned away from God's love which caused a separation between God and ourselves. But God's love still pursued! He sent Jesus Christ, God's Son and God Himself, who died, taking upon Himself the wrong things that we have all done and He rose again! He conquered and defeated death, so that we could have a relationship with God and experience eternal life with Him!

We believe and put our trust in God. We have God's word, the Bible to help and guide us through our every day and we believe that the Holy Spirit lives within us too, guiding us and living with us. If you want a place to start, we suggest reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament or Genesis, the first book of the Bible where the creation story is described!

And of course, we would love to welcome you to our services on a Sunday and any mid-week meeting, so come along and join in!
